Research Expertise: Environmental Fluid Mechanics; Coastal Resilience; Water Resources Engineering

The overarching goal of Dr. Ahn’s work is to develop a sustainable and resilient coastal system, in efforts to protect cities and environmental quality. Her research focuses on developing model systems to predict fluid movement and its impacts on the environment by taking account of human-induced and/or natural effects. Dr. Ahn is currently working on the development of resilient coastal communities and the restoration of oyster reef habitats along the Jersey Shore.
