Leah Filardi's and Nicole Rosselli's Poster Wins First Place at ISPE Conference

On April 4th, the New Jersey Chapter of ISPE hosted a 2018 Annual Student Poster Contest at Bristol-Meyers Squibb in which the top NJ universities were invited to display their research findings which will impact the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Twenty four posters were presented in total from 3 New Jersey schools: Rowan University, Stevens Institute of Technology, and New Jersey Institute of Technology. The poster on “Biocompatible and Biodegradable Ionic Liquid Polymer Composite as Electrolyte for Energy Storage Devices”, presented by Leah Filardi and Nicole Rosselli of Dr. Iman Noshadi’s laboratory, was awarded first place in undergraduate presentations. Martin Burns of Stevens won first place in graduate presentations. Along with 1st place, they were invited to present the research at the ISPE national conference in November 2018. The awards ceremony was accompanied by a presentation by industry professional Marvin Fields on Regenerative Medical Devices. This talk served to connect the student research to impactful applications such as Integra LifeSciences’ orthopedic biotechnology development.
