What We Do
At the Digital Engineering Hub (DEHub) @ Rowan University we are creating a venue where industry, the government and academia can collectively solve problems and define the next-generation of applications related to the Digital Transformation (DT). We are motivated by the global changes caused by the adoption and integration of digital technologies that transform traditional business models and continuously introduce enhanced ways for decision making. Such developments are already an integral part of our everyday life via modern services based on web, cloud and mobile technologies that rely heavily on big data, internet of things (IoT) and artificial intelligence methods.
DEHub provides resources, equipment, personnel and thought leadership while working with modern cyberphysical systems in engineering to increase automation, embedded intelligence and improve data-driven decision making. Our areas of interest and expertise include model-based engineering, digital manufacturing, digital engineering, intelligent materials and systems, and integrated sensing and data-processing. We apply this expertise in infrastructure, robotics, defense, aerospace, marine, energy and biomedical applications.
We are interested in stakeholder-based design to understand problem-specific requirements definitions, and we use them to create digital threads and digital twins that allow dynamic and data-driven application systems.
