Scholarship Opportunities
Rowan University’s Construction Management undergraduate students may be eligible for additional scholarship funding from outside organizations. The following scholarships are awarded based on academic merit and/or need.TradesFutures Scholarship
TradesFutures scholarships are available to registered apprentices and journeypersons eager to advance their careers. TradesFutures provides eligible first-year students with scholarships of up to $7,200 to help earn their degrees. Professional Women in Construction (New Jersey Chapter)
As a membership benefit, PWCNJ awards (2) $2,500.00 scholarships every year at the March Women of Achievement Event to a female high school senior or a full time college or trade school student, sponsored by a PWCNJ member firm or PWCNJ member individual.
CFMA Valley of the Sun Chapter
The Valley of the Sun Chapter of the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) will award an educational scholarship for each semester. (Summer sessions do not qualify.)
CFMA Massachusetts Chapter
CFMA of MA has established a scholarship program to assist CFMA members, their sons and daughters and CFMA member co-workers (including co-op students who are employed by January 1st of each year) who are pursuing an undergraduate degree in the field of Accounting or Finance, Engineering, Architecture or Project Management.
National Association of Women in Construction
The NAWIC Founders’ Scholarship Foundation (NFSF) assists in providing the construction industry with trained employees through higher education and certified training programs. Each year they award over $250,000 to worthy recipients in construction-related programs. Award amounts start at $1,000. Some local chapters award scholarships as well.
National Association of Women In Construction (Delaware)
Chapter #96 provides scholarship funding to students entering a construction-related degree program. Applicants can be male or female, must be a resident of Delaware, at least 17 years old, and can be enrolled as a full-time or part-time student. If awarded, the recipient must maintain a 2.5 GPA.
Bill and Shirleen Kirk Foundation Scholarship
Scholarships will be awarded annually to third or fourth year undergraduate, masters, or doctoral students who exhibit need and are interested in pursuing degrees in business, chemistry, civil engineering, construction management, marketing or sales.
Builder’s League of South Jersey
Since 1995, the Foundation has awarded more than $194,500 to area students planning for careers within the homebuilding industry.
Castagra Roofing Scholarship Program
This program was developed to support individuals pursuing a career in roofing (or a similar field), who are passionate about innovation and/or sustainability.
Construction Management Association of America (Mid-Atlantic Chapter)
The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the Construction Management Association of America (MAC CMAA), awards a limited number of scholarships to qualified students to help them defray the costs of pursuing a degree in Construction Management or a Related-Degree Program.
Connecticut Building Congress
The Connecticut Building Congress Scholarship Fund offers scholarships to graduating Connecticut high school students entering college-level programs in architecture, construction-related engineering, construction management, surveying, planning or other courses of study leading to associate, baccalaureate, or masters degrees in the construction field. In the recent past, scholarships have ranged from $2,500 to $4,000 per year, renewable up to 5 years.
Western States Roofing Contractors Association
The Davis Memorial Foundation currently awards each year to individuals who want to further their education. The Foundation gives priority to students who want to attend a trade school, or earn a college or university degree that relates to the construction industry.
American Galvanizers Association
The American Galvanizers Associations (AGA) Galvanize the Future: A Richard L. Brooks Memorial Scholarship essay contest was developed to assist future specifiers with the rising cost of a college education. The scholarship is available to full- or part-time undergraduate or graduate students enrolled in an accredited college or university in North America studying architecture, civil engineering, structural engineering, construction management, material science, or a related field.
Two scholarships are awarded annually ($2,500 each) for the top essays submitted.
