Biography
Dr. Kwame Amoah, an Assistant Professor at the University of Cincinnati, brings over 14 years of industry experience in construction management and engineering. His expertise centers on project management, cost analysis, and change order management. With a strong project manager and estimator background, he has successfully applied Building Information Modeling (BIM), sustainable construction practices, and energy-efficient solutions to improve project outcomes and advance sustainability.
Dr. Amoah is passionate about bridging industry practices with academia, incorporating real-world applications into his teaching and curriculums. He strives to enhance course content and student engagement by leveraging innovative digital tools and hands-on instruction, preparing students to excel in the evolving construction industry.
Dr. Amoah holds a Ph.D. in civil engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology and a master’s in construction management and engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He also earned an MBA from Nova Southeastern University and is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and LEED AP BD+C.
