How about watching German cars come together on the assembly line or getting up close to the first diesel engine? These are just a few of the experiences in our Engineering in Germany program.
Led by Dr. Bakrania, this May 2026 tour explores Munich, Dresden, and Berlin, blending cultural discovery with engineering site visits.
Program Highlights
- Visits to automotive manufacturers and technology museums
- Cultural immersion across three German cities, plus a bonus stop in Prague
- $5,100 program cost that includes round-trip travel, accommodations, daily breakfast, and site/visit fees

Participants enroll in the 3-credit engineering history course How It Worked in Spring 2026. The course examines the history of engineering and its impact on civilization.
- For engineering majors, it counts as a technical elective.
- Open to all majors. Non-engineering students with basic math and science can fully engage with the material and site visits.
