Amol Shah

Amol Shah is the senior vice president of information technology at WOW! Internet, Cable & Phone, overseeing the company's enterprise software architecture, business intelligence and customer billing systems. Over his 15 years at WOW!, Shah has also held technical and leadership roles across software development, quality assurance, infrastructure, data analytics, cyber security and IT compliance.

During Shah's tenure, WOW! grew from a small regional provider to a nationwide player, serving 750,000 subscribers as the sixth-largest cable, internet and phone provider in the country. He successfully led his team through periods of digital transformation, mergers, acquisitions and divestitures all while retaining a focus on enhancing customer experiences across WOW!’s platforms, whether online or over the phone. Earlier in his career, Shah held consulting and software engineering positions at Statera, Mentis Broadband and Qwest Communications, where he began his career as a software engineer and helped build Qwest’s first technician application for handheld pocket PC-based devices.

Raised in Ahmedabad, India, Shah joined Rowan as part of the Inductotherm Scholars program. He was part of the inaugural engineering class in 1996 and helped start Rowan Engineering’s local IEEE chapter. He holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees from Rowan in electrical and computer engineering and computer science and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

Outside of work, Shah enjoys traveling and enjoying the Colorado outdoors. He enjoys giving back to the community by volunteering with local charities and serving as a philanthropy liaison for the Rocky Mountain chapter of boys team charity, an organization whose purpose is to develop altruism in middle school and high school students by providing opportunities for them to volunteer and serve their communities. Shah is also passionate about education and, during the COVID-19 pandemic, taught as a volunteer instructor in a Stanford initiative called “Code In Place” where individuals throughout the world got the opportunity to learn the basics of computer programming online while at home. Shah currently lives in Denver, Colo. with his wife Shefali and teenage children, Aanya and Aarav.
