Catherine (Cat) Ni is the vice president of close combat systems at Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) at Lockheed Martin. She is responsible for the strategy and execution of a portfolio of products that span a diverse set of domestic and international customers including Hellfire, Joint Air-to-Ground Missile (JAGM), Javelin, Precision Strike and the Precision Guided Naval Electronic Systems portfolio.
Previously, Ni was director of advanced rotary wing and ground systems at MFC, responsible for the strategy, product development and execution of multiple sensor programs for both the United States Marine Corps and U.S. Army. In this role, she also represented MFC and oversaw all mission systems activities for Rotary Mission Systems (RMS)-Sikorsky’s Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) program to ensure the success of the campaign and coordination across all of Lockheed Martin.
Prior to this enterprising role, Ni was deputy director of international Apache Fire Control programs, responsible for the sale and execution of the Modernized Target Acquisition Designation Sight/Pilot Night Vision Sensor (M-TADS/PNVS) and the LONGBOW Fire Control Radar (FCR) to more than 15 international customers. In a special assignment, she led the Special Operations Forces Global Logistics Support Services (SOF GLSS) capture initiatives which resulted in an $8 billion, 10-year corporate focus program for Lockheed Martin.
Ni joined Lockheed Martin in 2000 through its Operations Leadership Development program and has held positions of increasing responsibility and leadership across the corporation, especially at MFC. As part of MFC’s Business & Strategy Development organization, she held the position of deputy director of strategic planning and managed mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, strategic plan development and new market identification. Prior to this, she held positions with teams including Sniper International Business Development, the Corporate Business Development Executive Development & Growth Enhancement Program, the U.K. Logistics Program capture, and the Deepwater Award Term capture at RMS.
Born and raised in Blackwood, N.J., Ni received a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering from Rowan and a Master of Science degree in engineering management from Drexel University in Philadelphia. Ni currently lives in Orlando, Fla., with her husband Jim and daughters, Ava and Kara.
