Krystal Wrigley, ’05

Chemical Engineering

Krystal Wrigley is currently the chief basestock, fuel and intermediate product engineer with the Process Engineering and Products organization at ExxonMobil Technology and Engineering Company in Clinton, N.J. She graduated summa cum laude from Rowan University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering and has worked for ExxonMobil for the past 19 years as a fuel and transportation technology leader. 

Wrigley started at ExxonMobil’s Products Technology Technical Center in Paulsboro, N.J. where her work focused on refinery gate-to-end use fuel quality and performance gasoline development in support of the Formula 1 Fuels program. In 2007, she became an improve engineer and gasoline economist at Beaumont Refinery leading efforts to adopt a robust global product quality management system for refinery operations and identified margin improvement opportunities for key operating metrics. She was also responsible for planning gasoline blend feasibility upon refinery start-up post Hurricane Ike.  

Between 2009 and 2021, she relocated back to New Jersey and stepped into a series of managerial and technical leadership roles driving strategy and delivery across fuel quality, product development, corporate strategy, advanced vehicles and fuels research and regulatory development. She also represented ExxonMobil on external industry committees including as vice president of the API Technology Subcommittee and on the  CRC board of directors.  

In 2021, Wrigley became chief fuels technology engineer where she led the development of the corporate technology strategy for lower emission fuels and in support of ExxonMobil’s Low Carbon Solution strategy in hydrogen for mobility. In 2023, her position expanded to include basestocks and intermediates, where she continues to drive capability strategy and program leadership for the full suite of liquid products across ExxonMobil value chains.
