As an undergrad, Gabriel worked with the middle and high school students of his hometown as a GEAR UP FOR SUCCESS mentor. He later transitioned to the role of GEAR UP FOR SUCCESS counselor upon earning his bachelor’s degree, ultimately seeing his middle students grow into high school graduates who were ready to embark on their college journeys.

Afterwards, he was invited to work at his alma mater, working primarily with Hispanic/Latinx students pursuing STEM degrees and working to promote higher education in underrepresented communities.

Now an academic advisor for Rowan’s engineering students, Gabriel is still doing what he loves: Guiding the latest leaders and emerging innovators throughout their academic endeavors.
