Dr. Tang’s research focuses on the design, control and optimization of discrete event systems with respect to their complexity, uncertainty, security and performance via mathematical modeling, statistical analysis, and computational visualization.    Her most recent projects include Sensor-informatics-and-AI-based Personalized Instruction and Need-aware Gaming System, Intelligent Energy-aware Manufacturing System, and AI+Blockchain-Enpowered Parallel Education System
