Biomedical
Research Expertise:
Skeletal Biology and Bioengineering: Synovial Joint Development, Cartilage Tissue Engineering, Hyaluronic Acid (HA) Metabolism
Dr. Kim's lab is interested in understanding how synovial joints form, grow, and maintain using tools from developmental biology and molecular genetics. With the information we learned from joint biology, we are interested in developing engineered cartilaginous tissues and novel joint therapeutics to treat joint conditions such as osteoarthritis (OA).
