The Regenerative Engineering and Integrative Neogenesis (REIGN) Lab aims to understand how limb synovial joints form, grow, and maintain, with a focus on hyaluronan (HA) metabolism using tools from developmental biology. By integrating developmental biology and tissue engineering, we aim to harness the mechanisms to develop novel joint therapeutics and regenerative strategies that restore the native structure and function of articular cartilage for joint conditions such as osteoarthritis (OA).
