M.S. in Biomedical Engineering (MS/Thesis)
The Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering is a research-based degree, and additional graduate-level Biomedical Engineering coursework gives students an opportunity to expand their skill set in advanced topics of interest. Advanced topics include biomaterials engineering, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, bioinstrumentation, biomechanics and mechanobiology, immunoengineering and other emerging areas. A novel research project completed under the mentorship of a faculty advisor and culminating in a Thesis, requires students to effectively apply engineering principles to solve a contemporary biomedical problem. A detailed coursework plan and application portal can be found at Rowan Global.
M.S. in Engineering w/Concentration in Biomedical Engineering (MS/Non-Thesis)
This coursework based degree allows a student to obtain targeted graduate level expertise in areas that will prepare them for career in a chosen field of interest. Students will take graduate level courses in fundamental areas of biomedical engineering and chose technical electives that will build their skill set in specific areas. A detailed coursework plan and application portal can be found at Rowan Global.
5-year Accelerated Program: B.S. in Biomedical Engineering/ M.S. in Biomedical Engineering (BS/MS Thesis)
Exceptional undergraduate students enrolled in the BS in Biomedical Engineering may apply to this accelerated program at the end of their junior year. This program leverages the intense undergraduate research experience at Rowan to allow these students to complete a Masters level Thesis in one year by combining the research training and findings from their undergraduate experience. This program also allows select courses to count toward both the undergraduate and graduate degrees.
5-year Accelerated Program: B.S. in Biomedical Engineering/ M.S. in Engineering w/Concentration in Biomedical Engineering (BS/MS Non-Thesis)
Exceptional undergraduate students enrolled in the BS in Biomedical Engineering may apply to this accelerated program at the end of their junior year. This coursework based degree allows a student to obtain targeted graduate level expertise in areas that will prepare them for career in a chosen field of interest. To accelerate the completion of this degree select courses can count toward both the undergraduate and graduate degrees.
