The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Rowan University invites applicants for tenure-track or tenured position(s) at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. We seek outstanding candidates who have a Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, or a closely related discipline. Successful candidates are expected to develop and maintain an active, highly visible, externally-funded research program with outstanding scholarship and to demonstrate excellence in teaching and mentoring both undergraduate and graduate students. The areas of expertise are open, encompassing all research areas of the biomedical engineering field. Senior-level candidates with exceptional achievements and demonstrated impact will have the opportunity to be considered for the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering Foundation Professorship.
The anticipated start date for this biomedical engineering faculty position will be September 1, 2023.

Open-Rank Faculty Positions in the Institute for Regenerative Medicine and Transplantation
The newly established Rowan-Virtua School of Translational Biomedical Engineering & Sciences invites faculty applicants for the Institute for Regenerative Medicine and Transplantation, an emerging institute part of a recent affiliation between Rowan University and Virtua Health, which also includes the School of Medicine and School of Nursing and Health Professions. With over $200M investment, plans include the development of multiple institutes, the hiring of over 50 new faculty investigators, and new facilities and programs.
The School of Translational Biomedical Engineering & Sciences seeks applicants for open rank tenure-track faculty position(s) at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level. We seek candidates who have a Ph.D. in engineering, life sciences, or closely related disciplines, and/or a medical degree (D.O./Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., D.O., M.D.).
The areas of expertise are open encompassing all research in the broad areas of regenerative medicine, cell and tissue engineering, and cell and organ transplantation. This may include research in the areas of gene therapy, neuroregeneration and degeneration, biomaterials science and engineering, drug delivery, immunology, and stem cell biology.
Primary faculty academic appointment will be in the School of Translational Biomedical Engineering & Sciences with potential joint appointments in the School of Medicine, Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering, and other Colleges/Schools, as appropriate.

This may include research in the areas of minimally-invasive devices, biomaterials science and engineering, vascular cell biology and cardiometabolic disease, immunology, and stem cell biology and interventions.

The areas of expertise are open encompassing all research in the broad areas of health equity, health disparities, and healthcare access and delivery. This may include research in the areas of community based participatory research, data science and population health, geospatial health, addiction, pain management, diabetes, and urban and rural public health.
