2023 BioEngineering And Me Summer Program

The 2023 BEAM (BioEngineering And Me) Summer Program is a fun, educational, and FREE virtual program for high school students who are interested in or want to learn more about biomedical engineering. This two-week program features presentations, workshops, and Q&A panels from professors and students in Rowan University's Biomedical Engineering (BME) Department. Participants will learn about current research areas and fields of study within Rowan BME through interactive presentations, virtual lab demos, and small group activities.

The 2023 BEAM Summer Program starts on Monday July 31 and ends on Friday August 11 (M-F, 9am-12pm EST time) and to participate, all you need is internet access. This program is free of charge, and applicants that demonstrate a strong interest and are available for the entire duration of the program will be selected for participation.

Registration is now open, and we are accepting applicants on a rolling basis. The application link is below. To be considered, you will need to provide us with a teacher contact at your school (name, position, email), an unofficial transcript (PDF preferred), and a short (300 to 500 word) essay describing why you are interested in the BEAM Summer Program.

If you have any questions about the application process or the program, please email beam@rowan.edu. We look forward to receiving your application!
