Curriculum
The B.S. in Mechanical Engineering Technology is a four-year, career-oriented, hands-on degree program established by the Rowan College of South Jersey (RCSJ) and the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering at Rowan University.Students complete their first two years of coursework at RCSJ and finish the final two years at Rowan University. It requires the completion of 120 semester hours.

Note on Transfer Credits:
- The current program requirements represent an example transition model between Rowan College of South Jersey and Rowan University, in which students complete 60 credits at RCSJ and 60 credits at Rowan University.
- Students transferring from RCSJ to Rowan University with different course plans should consult the program advisor.
- Students transferring from other community colleges to Rowan University to pursue the Mechanical Engineering Technology degree should consult the program advisor.
- The Rowan University MET program advisor will determine whether individual courses can be applied toward the MET program.
Notes on Electives:
- Business elective examples: ECON 04101 or 04102; INTR 01138; BUS 01105; ENT 06240, 06346 or 06450.
- MET/MET technical electives: approved MET courses, approved ME, ENGR, ECE, EET, CHE, CEE, BME 400-level courses, and other approved 400-level courses. Technical electives examples: MET 07201, MET 07301, ME 10401 - ME 10486 (see Undergraduate Catalog for list of courses).
University Requirements
The Rowan Core is the University's general education model. It is based on six literacies and Rowan Experience (see below), which reflect contemporary priorities while maintaining a strong liberal arts foundation. Some literacies are incorporated in your major-specific courses. Others you will fulfill by taking elective courses in the required literacy.
