Research Areas

Faculty in our department are engaged in a broad range of research areas, including: advanced materials and processing; energy, environment and sustainability; process systems and discovery; biological and health sciences; and engineering education. Our faculty are actively collaborating with partners in academia, industry and the government, and our research is supported by federal agencies like the National Science Foundation, the Department of Defense, and the Environmental Protection Agency as well as industries like ExxonMobil, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and PPG Industries.
