Civil & Environmental Engineering @ Rowan University
Current Students
As a student of the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering, you will receive a world-class education. We are all about T.L.C. (Teamwork, Leadership, Community) at CEE.
We offer our students enriching opportunities to participate in student organizations, cutting-edge research, study abroad, and community service.
Students who demonstrate academic excellence and an outstanding record of extracurricular activities are inducted, by invitation, to the Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honor Society.
Advising
Meet with an advisor at least once a semester (more if you want). Your advisors can help you select courses, assist with registration matters and help identify campus resources.
CEE First Year and Sophomore students should meet with their assigned first/second year advisor for help with course scheduling and registration, as well as minors and academic support. Check out the Advising Information webpage here. For general advising questions, please email engr-advising@rowan.edu.
Junior/Senior Year students are assigned to a CEE faculty advisor who can assist with major-specific questions, such as career and graduate school information, course content, etc.
You can find the name of your assigned advisor in RSN/Starfish: www.rowan.edu/rsn, listed under your Rowan Network. If one is not listed, please contact Amanda Ingdal (ingdal@rowan.edu), program assistant, in the CEE Administrative Suite (Rowan Hall, Rm. 110). For a list of all CEE faculty/staff, click here.
Study Abroad
Exciting opportunities are available for students who want to pursue study abroad internationally for a summer semester. Our students have taken their general education classes abroad.
Study abroad is an enriching, memorable, and rewarding experience. If you are interested in pursuing study abroad please contact Dr. Kauser Jahan at jahan@rowan.edu. Students are strongly encouraged to plan their study abroad experiences as early as their first year.
Our students have studied abroad at:
- Universidad Veritas in San Jose, Costa Rica
- University of Granada in Spain
- University of Sydney in Austrailia
Check out the University Education Abroad page for more information.
