External Advisory Board
The mission of the Mechanical Engineering External Advisory Board (ME-EAB) is to provide guidance, advice, and support to assist in achieving the goals of the Rowan University Mechanical Engineering Department. The Board serves as a vital link between the ME Department and its alumni, industry, and government, while also offering guidance on its engagement with students, the College of Engineering, and university administration.
The primary goals of the ME-EAB are to:
- Help the Department in identifying, developing, implementing, and assessing strategic goals and directions.
- Provide input to ensure that the Department aligns with relevant and contemporary program educational objectives, student outcomes, and program goals.
- Review and provide guidance on curriculum development to meet the evolving needs of the engineering profession.
- Provide independent, constructive assessment of the Department’s programs, curriculum, faculty, students, administration, equipment and facilities; and alumni/industrial relations.
- Act as a conduit for communicating industry needs between the Department, alumni, and industry; this includes feedback on industry best practices and emerging needs.
