The Department of Mechanical Engineering of the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering invites outstanding applicants for tenure-track or tenured positions at the assistant, associate, or full professor levels. Successful candidates must have a demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence at undergraduate and graduate levels; seek to develop a nationally-recognized, externally funded research program at Rowan University; and contribute to the institution and profession through service. We welcome applications from exceptional candidates teaching and conducting research in all areas of mechanical engineering; however, preferred areas of research expertise broadly align with the College’s impactful research areas, including (but not limited to) multi-disciplinary topics such as Convergent Manufacturing, Digital/Simulation-based Engineering, Sustainable Materials/Processes, and Advanced Sensing/Automation/Robotics.

Applications will be accepted through January 15, 2024, but priority will be given to candidates whose applications are received before December 15, 2023. Applications from traditionally underrepresented groups are especially encouraged.

The anticipated start date for this mechanical engineering faculty position will be September 1, 2024.
