There are two paths for the B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology: 4-year program, where all four years of the curriculum are completed at Rowan University and the 2+2 option, where the first two years of the program are completed at your local community college that offers an Engineering Technology (and preferably an Electrical Engineering Technology) program. The last two years of both programs are very similar, with minor changes to ensure that both paths consist of exactly 120 credits and both paths satisfy the University’s general education requirements (branded as Rowan Core). The first two years of the 2+2 program are designed to be very flexible, allowing students at most two-year ET or EET A.A.S. programs to seamlessly transfer to Rowan University.

The first two years of the four-year program feature Rowan ECE’s unique courses, including the Engineering Clinics, Solving Tomorrow’s Problems, Fundamentals of Digital Systems, Electric Circuits I and II, Electronics, Instrumentation and Measurement, Controls Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers, whereas a flexible set of circuits, electronics, digital systems and other engineering and technology focus electives can be used to transfer into the 2+2 program.

In either case, you may use the several electives provided in the last year to custom-design your degree. Furthermore, if you are interested in taking the F.E. Exam, or pursuing a graduate program, and believe additional advanced math can benefit either of those goals, you may take one Calculus III or higher class and apply it to your senior electives.

The curriculum tables of both programs are provided below. Please make sure to read the notes for each program.
